You can beat Cover 3 with just one route after the latest patch. All you need to do is put a WR with the correct alignment on a fade route.

This works because the zone logic in Madden uses a grid-based system. When you send a WR on a fade route just inside the area where an outside third would be responsible, the outside third defender will not cover him. You can pass lead towards the sideline for an easy one-play touchdown.
